The earth receives more energy from the sun in just one hour than the world uses in a whole year, free of charge. A solar array system can be used to harness this energy and convert it to electricity. This will help power Ontario and shift our energy production to green renewable energy.

GreenLife Co-operative is a renewable energy co-op that builds solar projects that generate energy and sell it to the Ontario electricity grid under Ontario’s Feed-in Tariff program. This provides a green and renewable source of energy for all of us.

Ontario’s Feed-in Tariff Program

Ontario’s Feed-in Tariff (FIT) Program was launched in 2009 to create new clean energy industries and jobs, boost economic activity and the development of renewable energy technology, and to improve air quality by phasing out coal-fired generation by 2014.

The program has been key to Ontario’s growth in clean energy production and manufacturing. The more than 2,500 small and large FIT projects approved to date will produce enough electricity to power 1.2 million homes.
